Brot Liebe

Did you know there are 218 words to describe bread in the German language and nearly 2,000 different kinds of bread in Germany? To say the least, bread or das Brot is quite the big deal here.

If a German asks you to just pick up some “Brot” or better yet “Brötchen”, ask them exactly what they mean. Trust me there is nothing worse than getting Körnerbrötchen for someone who doesn’t like Körner (seeds). Don’t fall into a Fettnäppchen (avoid that mistake).
